Dear Patients, 

 

This is Dr. Scott, the clinic director from Body in Balance. I'd like to share some important updates about our practice.

​

As some of you may already know, last year I had a lumbar microdiscectomy surgery to fix a disc herniation. Unfortunately, even with chiropractic and physical therapy my disc re-herniated. As a result, I will be having lumbar fusion surgery at the end of this month. My family and I haven't made this decision lightly, especially considering the approximate 6-month recovery time, but we are confident this is the wisest course of action at this time.

​Now, for some exciting news! Our practice is growing, and we are thrilled to welcome Dr. Leah Foster to our team. Dr. Leah is an experienced chiropractor who graduated at the top of her class and holds a master's degree in exercise science. While she sees all patient types, she specializes in treating pregnant moms and children. She has been working with us over the past month to ensure a smooth transition as she joins our team.

During my recovery, Dr. Dustin, Dr. Tyler, and Dr. Leah will be overseeing your care. I kindly urge you to maintain your appointments to ensure continuity of your care. Your well-being is our top priority.

​

If you have an appointment with Dr. Scott on or after July 30th, it will be seamlessly rescheduled with one of the covering doctors. 

​

And finally, the big update! We are moving our location to a larger space conveniently located near Vancouver Mall - just 7 minutes away from our current location. We have loved our little office, but it's getting cramped, and parking has been a bit of a challenge. The new space will allow us to meet your needs more conveniently with ample parking and easier scheduling. We plan to add 4 massage therapists, taking your feedback into account. We are in the beginning stages of the project, but we expect to be in the new space by the end of the calendar year.

I want to personally thank you for your loyalty and support of our practice. It means the world to my family and me. It has been an absolute honor to be your clinic director at Body in Balance for the past 16 years. I'm really looking forward to healing up and getting back to the office as soon as I can!
