New Patients
If you are a new patient at Body in Balance, we would first like to say congratulations! You have just taken your first step in maximizing your body's potential, which will help you not only perform your every day activities smoother and safer,
but improve your overall health.
What to expect on your first visit
The first visit will take a bit longer than all other appointments. You should expect to spend around 30 minutes at our office if you have already filled out the paper work. We will first take a complete history, which includes your goals and expectations of care. We will then perform an examination to discover your care plan, which includes a physical portion to determine motion restrictions, sEMG and thermal scanning, and may include films of your spine. Because of how unique you are, your doctor will need to take the appropriate time to correlate the examination findings and will most likley schedule you to be adjusted on your second visit.
Second Visit
Your doctor will give you a formal report which will include what was found, what we will do to help you, how long it will take to get your body in balance, and how much it will cost. From there, you will be scheduled for your first adjustment.
What is an adjustment?
The sole purpose of an adjustment is to remove nerve interference from the body. The adjustment is a gentle force to remove nerve interference which allows the body to heal itself so long as there is no interference in the body.

Your brain is so powerful that it is encased in the skull. The spinal cord is a continuation of the brain. Pairs of nerve roots exit the spine on each vertebral level and allow your brain to communicate to EVERY living cell in your body. Therefore, it is safe to say that your nervous system controls everything in your body from your nose to your toes. The spinal bones are common culprits for interference to the nervous system. When one or more bones are misaligned, it chokes off the nearby nerves and the messages from your brain to your body are distorted. Nerve interference can cause pain, muscle spasm, headaches, constipation, blurred vision and many other problems.
